When using the Mailbaby Send API the sending domain must be authorized with a dns txt record, in addition to setting SPF records. To authorize the domain
- Access your DNS server editor
- Create a new TXT record called _mb with the record of your mailbaby username
A basic set up will look like
_mb.domain.com. IN TXT “mbXXXX”
Where mbXXXX is your mailbaby username. It is possible to separate multiple usernames by a space and have
_mb.domain.com. IN TXT “mbXXXX mbYYYYY”
With this valid record email will be authorized for sending over the API. In addition to this record you also need to follow the mailbaby SPF set up. At minimum your domain needs to have an SPF record record including include:spf-c.mailbaby.net
